天津水利電力機電研究所（以下簡稱天津機電所）始建於1979年，坐落在天津薊縣，占地麵積5.1萬平方米，建築麵積3.2萬平方米。曾先後隸屬於水電部、電力工業部、能源部、水利部，2001年，根據科研機構管理體製改革的要求，天津機電所成建製並入中國水利水電科學研究院，並在天津注冊了“天津水利電力機電研究所”企業法人，實行了自主創新、自我轉化、自我推廣的一體化運行模式。

　　天津機電所主要從事水利電力機電新技術、新工藝、新材料的應用性研究和新產品設計開發、生產製造和市場推廣等工作；作為全國水利水電機電技術信息網網長單位，主辦編輯出版《水電站機電技術》刊物，並向國內外公開發行。

　　近30年來，天津機電所在電站自動化裝置及控製係統、全自動濾水器、電力係統輸變電設備及電網安全、高效特種泵及先進水力模型等方麵已形成特有的核心技術。
天津機電所自行開發研製的適用於50MW以下的同步發電機/電動機全數字（雙）微機可控矽勵磁裝置以可擴展的模塊化設計結構、完善穩定的保護係統獲得用戶的好評。
天津機電所自行開發研製的車載移動泵站產品，列入了2008年北京奧運會期間的城市排澇快速反應預案。

　　2007年，天津機電所自行開發研製的框架型幹式空心電抗器通過天津科委組織的專家組技術鑒定，技術水平達到國際先進水平，並獲得天津市科技創新基金支持；電力係統諧波治理裝置列入了科技部火炬推廣計劃。

　　經過多年的努力，天津機電所現已形成以自主知識產權為基礎、具有一定規模、批量生產三大類、數百種型號產品的綜合實力，走出了一條研究開發主體與高新技術產業並存的發展道路，產品在國內相關行業得到了廣泛應用，部分產品已進入國際市場。

　　天津機電所是中國水利水電科學研究院的四大科技企業之一，隨著中國水利水電科學研究院向著世界一流水利水電科學研究院的邁進，天津機電所必將成為院屬重要的產業化基地，將為我國的水利電力建設事業做出更大貢獻。

Brief Introduction to TIHPR

TIHPR (Tianjin Institute of Hydroelectric and Power Research) affiliated to IWHR (China
Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research) was established in 1979. Today, more
than 160 engineers and technicians are active in TIHPR possessing of 5 laboratories
specialized and more than 70 sets of important equipment. TIHPR operates 7 departments
of specialized field.

TIHPR is engaged in research in transmission and distribution of power systems, hydropower
station automatization, and industrial pumps.

TIHPR also carries out the design, manufacture and service for high-tech and new products from electric power, hydropower and water resources industry.

Since establishment, TIHPR has acquired several items of patent rights and scientific and
technological achievements, and won several National Prizes for Progress in Science and
Technology.
TIHPR has obtained the Certificate of Quality System on the basis of ISO 9001 so as to
provide the best products and improve the competitive power in the market.

Based on advantage of modern production techniques, TIHPR is capacity of mass production
of line traps and reactors for power systems, automatic cleaning water strainers and
automatic control sets of equipments for hydroelectric stations, plastic pads with metal
elastic layers for hydro-generator units, fault diagnosis for stability of hydroelectric units, and industrial
pumps.
Recent years, the turnover of our various products has been increasing by a large ratio.
Some of products have been exported to abroad and TIHPR has earned a worldwide reputation.

TIHPR is based in Ji County, a famous town of Tianjin, with a lot of antiquities and
beautiful nature scenes. Ji County is located 77 kilometers from Beijing Capital Airport.
